Borkum

Borkum is located 55 kilometers away from the East Frisian mainland. The North Sea Island is an appreciative therapeutic bath and since 1986 part of the national park Wadden Sea. Borkum is the most western and largest island of the seven East Frisian Islands with 36 square kilometers in the southern North Sea. Due to the gulf stream there is a moderate climate on the island: during the summer not very hot, during the winter not very cold. The island is particularly poll-poor and contains iodine because of its high sea-position. The airport is approximately 3 km away from the local centre and can fastly be approached by taxi or a rented car. Particularly interesting for our charter customers: The airport can also be approached at night.
